I first discovered IVSA through my doctoral advisor, Eric Margolis. I was searching for an academic community that shared my interests in strategic visual messages, emerging media, and community-based art projects, and he suggested I would fit in well with the visual scholars in IVSA. I joined IVSA on his suggestion, and I couldn’t be happier with the community I’ve found. I am constantly intrigued and by the visual work IVSA members produce, and being part of the IVSA board inspires my own work daily.
