Tatiana Amendola Sanches is a lecturer of Cultural Studies at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP), where she also supervises students from post-graduation courses. She holds a BA in Social Sciences from USP (São Paulo University) and an MA in Communication, Culture and Society from Goldsmiths (University of London), where she was supervised by Professor Paul Filmer in her studies on Brazilian Popular Music. She is currently a PhD candidate at Campinas University (UNICAMP) where she owns a scholarship (CAPES) and develops her research on therapeutic cultures, pop philosophy and new ways of subjectification. She is also the organizer of the book Cultural Studies: a practical approach (SENAC: São Paulo, 2011) that has a contribution by John Hutnyk, academic director of Cultural Studies of the Centre for Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths. Tatiana is also an invited researcher from the post graduation communication program at Advanced School of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM) where she studies the Cosplay phenomenon in Brazil together with a group of researchers.
