I am a PhD student situated in Copenhagen Denmark. I am doing a PhD project within the field of Visual Sociology. My research institution is the Royal Danish Academy of Fina Arts - School of Design.
I planning an exchange for another institution Spring 2014. Preferably in New York City.
It could be a few months as an associate research student. Or maybe just a visiting research students conducting own research (mayby while following a relevant course for a shorter period of time.)
have tried to find out whether any NYC research institutions, colleges, art or design colleges have relevant courses or PhD programmes, but I have not been able to locate any that works within the intersects og sociology and practise-based visual representation.
I would therefor be very happy if any of you could recommend any schools, colleges, institutions or courses I might look into or people based in NYC that works within this field, I may contact.
